Summary
We are seeking a dynamic Head of Finance to build and lead our Finance function, ensuring effective delivery of the Finance strategy
Reporting to the Chief Finance Officer (CFO), you will be responsible for overseeing the Finance function, including operational accountability for financial control, operations, planning and analysis, as well as developing the Finance team as we scale
You will have excellent communication skills, the ability to present financial data in the form of insightful relevant reports and you will be highly proficient in creating and managing sophisticated financial models, including Excel and Google sheets

Our evidence-based individual metabolic programmes use the concept of time-restricted- eating (TRE) and intermittent fasting (IF), in addition to nutritional and exercise guidance to help design an individualised programme.
The Reset Programme is delivered through a dedicated digital platform, fully assisted with AI decision algorithms, as well as physical clinics located at accessible locations, with regular face-to-face or video access to clinical staff.

Main Duties & Responsibilities
The Head of Finance is responsible and accountable for the effective running and oversight of all aspects of the Finance function at Reset Health. The main responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Finance Strategy:
Support the CFO and Board in developing Reset Health’s finance strategy
Lead on the implementation and effective delivery of the strategy
Financial Control:
Accountable for the development and implementation of an effective financial accounting function. This includes ensuring accurate and timely capture and processing of financial transactions, the application of Financial Reporting Standards and best practices
Work with the CFO and Investment to identify, assess and mitigate organisational risk
Ensure the smooth running of the accounts payable and receivable functions
Oversee the smooth delivery of the agreed month-end timetable to ensure timely reporting to Board
Work with the Operations & Finance Administrator to continually develop, implement, embed and document robust finance controls, processes and procedures; ensure that the organisation operates within these
Take responsibility for the compliance requirements of Reset Health: to its investors and regulators
Lead on the annual external audit and any internal functional audits
Oversee the efficient delivery of the monthly payroll
Oversee the organisation’s cash forecasting and treasury function
Responsible for maintaining the highest standards of financial integrity
Line manage the Operations & Finance Administrator
Financial Planning and Analysis
Ensure that management accounts are accurately produced and delivered to the Board according to agreed timetables
Oversee the delivery of an effective business partnering function to the Business Unit Leaders
Financial Operations:
Drive and oversee the annual budgeting and in-year forecasting processes
Develop a Budget Management Framework to analyse the business’ performance
Ensure all new initiatives/projects/ business cases are reviewed and assessed for agreed financial ROI and SMART KPIs
Where necessary, provide support to other team leaders in procurement and contract negotiations
Skills & Experience
Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA or through experience) with a proven background in managing a Finance function in a start-up or fast-moving environment
Demonstrable understanding of a secure financial control environment. Prepared to challenge the status quo in order to seek operational & financial control efficiencies
Demonstrable competency in running a Finance function including payroll, VAT and transactional processing. In-depth understanding of cash flow management, bank reconciliation and bookkeeping
Demonstrable ability to collaborate with upper management to organise, plan and achieve company financial goals; a commercial and bold thinker
Demonstrable understanding and experience of managing risk
Attributable success in delivering a year end through to audit closure
Ability to work on own initiative, prioritise work, handle pressure and take day-today decisions where required
Exceptional interpersonal communication and leadership skills, with the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing and to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships
Advanced IT skills, including Excel, Google Sheet, and other financial reporting software
Strong analytic skills and problem-solving abilities, with the ability to balance this with a pragmatic style to engage with all stakeholders
Ability to multitask effectively with attention to detail
Able to work autonomously as well as part of a team
Schedule
40 hours a week, Monday - Friday
